This colorful, glorious riot of a town has both inspired and addicted more people than most normal towns could hope to attract. But be warned – if you come, you need two things: Time, and a decent hotel.

The Riviera hotel has been featured in numerous TV shows and movies and its latest refit has added layers of luxury without raising the cost. Perfectly placed at the north end of the world-famous Las Vegas Strip, you’re a brief walk away from both the Convention Center and the Fashion Show mall.

You cannot see America without seeing this, so contact your agent and make it this year.

They say that Las Vegas is like no place on Earth. Having not been there yet, I can’t comment. But one thing’s for sure – If Aliens landed in Vegas and decided that iconic metropolis was a reasonable sample of all human life on this ball, we’d be lucky to ever make contact.

The food and the shows are clearly out of this world. And if shopping’s your thing, you couldn’t wish for better.

The town’s unique charm is such a powerful draw, 37.5 -million people a year take Vegas vacations, and I wish I could join them. But isn’t it time you were one?
