The human condition is one in which pain and discomfort are a frequent and unwelcome presence. Recent research shows chronic pain affects more American adults than diabetes, heart disease and cancer combined.

The numbers prove over 110-million people endure significant pain every day, and 20% of this nation’s adults – that’s 42-million people – say it disturbs their sleep. Every night.

Given these unwelcome facts it’s not hard to see how something constructive like a Back pain seminar could help a lot of good people get some overdue rest. Does this include you?

A wise man once said that only two things are certain in life – death and taxes. Sadly, that grows more true as the years progress. In the dawning days of 2012 it’s hard to find something you can truly count on. Even cars. The days of even being able to count on transport are in peril. A few years ago your car would start the first time like a goulds pump.

Those times are over. Quality like that just doesn’t get made.

Anyone who can solve this dilemma would be a rich man…Assuming they had the transport to get them to work.

Who might win the big bun-fight?

The discussion regarding who should govern the country is still in full swing and there’s a long road ranged ahead before the decision is made. But what a day that will be; The winning side will drape their campaign office with bunting and the celebration will last long into the night. Add some birthday cupcakes and it would look just the 4th of July and your birthday at once.

The debate is followed with great passion by some folks, so let’s keep track and see which side proves they have the best claim.

Anyone who has a smart phone knows those things can take over your life. A dead battery can leave those who become truly addicted in fits as they face a day without their hand-held brain.

The most addictive of all phones, apart perhaps from the iPod, is the Blackberry, and the latest version – the blackberry tablet – promises to make its phone-based cousin look puny in its capacity to run and rule people’s lives. With a 7-inch screen and 32Gb of storage the addiction factor is going to be high.

A case of vital importance

And so the giant, jaw-cracking snore-fest that is the Iowa caucus is over and the contenders for the more serious political bun fights to come are easier to review. The great American voters have spoken and those with mere dreams of the White House have [mostly] surrendered to reality and made a dignified exit. Now we face the next round.

And this rarified level of combat engages some very smart people. Educated people in crisp suits are in close attendance to the candidates, ready to whip open an aluminum briefcase and bring forth wondrous ways to deliver what is often a difficult message. Their skills are as remarkable as they seem effortless. But will they pay off? All we can do is wait and see…

Iowa is not even the end

It feels like two years since this whole election circus began…and there’s still no end in sight.

For what is actually well over a year, CNN and the other news networks will doggedly report every trivial wrinkle of the entire process, inducing jaw-cracking boredom in even the most loyal viewers.

Then when the election finally arrives and voting turnout is predictably dismal they’ll spend at least another week desperately trying to define what could have made the great American public lose interest.

Well, duhhhhh?!

In Europe an election takes just eight weeks. You get to campaign your butt off for two months, but then you’re done. Why can’t we change the rules and get it done that way here??

Thanks, probably, to the influence of Hollywood a good cigar is perceived as a sign of success and refinement. But it’s not unknown for our leaders in D.C to be seen inublowing smoke rings, so perhaps that’s not always true.

The argument can still be made, though, that a well-made smoke like Dutch masters cigars adds a certain air of refinement to your overall look. Try sharing some at your next social event and see if this curious rule works for you.
