At least, that’s what Fox News told the world.

In the early hours of yesterday Fox’s Twitter feed on Politics reported that President Obama was assassinated in a New York Restaurant and died 45-minutes later in a nearby ER.

Joe Biden was then sworn in as his replacement while the killer was hunted by Secret Service agents.

And this news remained on their feed for almost six hours.

To say most Fox reporters couldn’t locate Roger Ayles’ butt with both hands and GPS would be almost understatement, but this is Olympian stupidity beyond even them.

One can only wonder what might be next…

By November the usual crowd of political misfits will be fully engaged in a battle of wits to persuade the nation of their fitness to govern.

But are they really so stable? A close look at the hours of footage we’re bound to see would probably reveal most of these folk are the kind who’d wear hypoallergenic earrings to avoid even the slightest issue of pain.

And they still think they can balance the budget.

You can bet the political pundits will dissect every word the candidates utter, but take your own study and peruse what they wear. We might not put the brightest bulb in the White House but it wouldn’t hurt to get one who’s smartly dressed.

Is it me or are today’s teens just divorced from all forms of logic? The current fetish for texting is one good example – Here you have seemingly sensible people pressing 60+ buttons to send some vague thoughts to a friend, when they could tell them the self-same ideas by just pressing three.

This is clearly a sector of adolescent humanity so devoid of plain common sense, they’d buy a car and just push it.

Music is another example – When the Walkman was invented by Sony in 1979 it was a revolution in personal sound. You could have two hours of music that fit in your pocket, yet it played like a fine concert hall.

Not any more.

Now you have teenagers with MP3 players fused to their hands and long fibrous weeds growing out of their ears, existing in a world where every sentient experience is accompanied by the atonal utterances of people feted as stars because they can rhyme four-letter words or handle two chords.

Sadly, there is a simple but painful conclusion: If the average 20-something ever runs out of batteries, the entire future of humanity is irredeemably doomed…

Apple wowed the world with the iPad, but its $600+ price tag and costly subscriptions put quite a few people off. But to their rescue, and great relief came the Galaxy Tablet PC. This sensually sleek and versatile Android-powered tablet debuted just before Christmas, and unlike the iPad it can run on all four major networks.

The Galaxy also matches Apple’s download allowances, but the monthly costs are far less. So if you like to own the latest tech trinkets but can’t reach Apple’s prices, this is your chance. Start at that link and see if you can resist….

And the prices are crazy.

But it’s simply not necessary to take out a mortgage just to wear a nice frock. Those who love fashion can assuage their desires and save piles of money with some great casual dresses that are both easy to find and a treat to admire.

Those who have style can look good in a bin bag, so let the Hollywood types have their frocks – Go for casual chic and show the world that panache truly comes from within…

Well, it’s over. After almost a year of bickering, squabbling and self-centered games that would embarrass a five-year old the overgrown adolescents we’re supposed to entrust with running this glorious country have finally deigned to let us have a gutted, watered-down version of health care.

By a vote of 219 to 212 the House approved a bill first passed by the Senate four months ago. And still they’re not done.

And even after stalling for a year so the same high quality, affordable health care their jobs give them could not be shared by the people who gave them those posts, the two sides could not resists getting close to a camera so they could con those same voters into keeping them in DC to do even more damage.

Outside the Capitol a group of ‘rent-a-mob’ protesters waved dumb signs on a stick, chanting, “Kill the Bill!” Inside, equally immature Democrats claimed the shameful act of wasting a year to pass a bill that would have been done in two weeks if it was pointed at them as some kind of historic miracle.

They won election by promising the most influential, most massively life-improving new law since Social Security, and instead delivered a weak, mewling, bastardized cross-breed that barely makes a dent in the chaotic, unequal, extortionate nightmare that is this nation’s health service; Nor in the profits of those who selfishly made it this way.

Not being a citizen I can’t get this new ‘service,’ and am therefore an annoyed but impartial observer. And from where I sit I can see blame on both sides;

The Republicans waste $1.4-trillion on two invasions that have no basis in truth, then whine that the healthcare bill will waste the taxpayers’ money.

The Dems, meanwhile, promise the nation a ‘new start’ on health, then slice the bill into ribbons to placate the Republicans, until what they finally deliver is a vast breach of promise to the people who put them in power, expecting and deserving to get the bill as it was!

And both sides eagerly indulged in this year of ego-polishing indolence with the shared selfish goal of raising their profile in the media in order to win their jobs – and their free health care back - in the November mid-terms.

I only hope all you good people fittingly reward them for letting you down…

For decades, firms have used kinds of free swag to keep buyers returning, but the old standbys of mugs, hats and pens are so passe these days it’s almost a joke.

Computers are slowly taking over our lives and if your free gift is something a client can use every day, that keeps your name and your logo constantly in his or her life – and that has to be good for your trade.

Custom usb drive makers know this, and some of the biggest brand-names on the market now use these geeky trinkets to help keep their business afloat.

And those who engage in, or enable this mass-market crime still can’t work out why their precious rating just keep going down.

We spend $100′s on TV’s and even more on nice mounts – and you can’t help but wonder why you even tune in?? Someone should broadcast 24/7 goldfish – at least they’ve got some skills.

If you upgraded your TV’s for the joys of HD…and you now wonder why, all is not lost. Check that link and pick some nice stands for your sets.

Then at least one thing on your TV will have been worth your time.
