With Martin Luther King day behind us the folks in DC are once more congregating to resume running the country, and first on the list for debate is reform or repeal of the controversial Health Care bill.

And this could bring some heated discussion. While some in DC claim the bill costs too much and kills jobs, the people they represent are confused by the implicit hypocrisy of a group who all get superb health care as part of their job, deciding that a similar, shared plan for the people who gave them that occupation is unacceptable and would cost the country too much.

And cost is a whole extra debate – Many people get health coverage at work but jobs can dissolve without warning. A lot of folks find cash advances very helpful in such times but good coverage remains beyond some people’s means. And that needs to change.

This is a glorious country but it has a few flaws. The uncertainty of health care is one, and it should be interesting to see how this long-neglected crack will be fixed in a way that is hopefully good for us all…
