When the first recording technology was invented I’d seriously doubt if the fortunate few who were there to witness its birth in Thomas Edison’s lab could have even dreamed of the impact their shiny new gadget would go on to cause.
A century later and the whole nation’s wired. People can play their favorite sounds on devices that would leave Mr. Edison’s team almost slack-jawed with wonder. One compact flash memory card can hold more flawless music in the size of a stamp than your parents could fit in one room.
I’m a geek, so I’m biased, but let’s face the facts – Sometimes you just gotta love progress.
